Wool for these highly textured, handmade pillows comes from sheep in the Guatemalan highlands of Momostenango, Totónicapan. Due to high altitude and extreme cold weather, sheep in this region grow exceptionally high quality, resilient wool. Artisans in rural communities shear the sheep, then clean and wash the wool before spinning it into rustic, nubby yarns. Then they hand weave the yarn into small batches of textiles for beautiful, natural pillows. All pillows are backed with 100% linen.
